S Arabia pushes for agreed reforms
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are pushing their Economic Cooperation Framework into the implementation phase as the latter has asked Pakistan to document progress on agreed reforms and sector initiatives through 2030. Sources in the Economic Affairs Division told The Express Tribune that Saudi authorities had called for preparing detailed cooperation and progress cards covering initiatives, investments, knowledge transfer and policy reforms. Saudi Arabia has also shown interest in investing in the Reko Diq copper and gold mining project. But it is not clear so far whether it will acquire 15% shareholding or not.
