PSX Closing Bell: A Soft Step Up
Pakistan’s benchmark KSE-100 Index closed Friday’s trading session higher by 373.73 points or 0.21% at 177,696.50, as buying in commercial banks and technology stocks helped the index finish in positive territory despite broader market weakness. The index traded in a range of 877.51 points, hitting an intraday high of 178,042.78, up 720.01 points, while the low stood at 177,165.27, down 157.50 points. The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 304.87 million shares. Of the 100 index companies, 38 closed up, 58 closed down, while 4 remained unchanged. Top gainers during the day were BOP (+7.44%), SYS (+6.29%), HCAR (+4.80%), ILP (+3.71%), and CNERGY (+2.64%). On the other hand, top losers were SRVI (-4.23%), ISL (-3.88%), HUMNL (-2.52%), GHGL (-2.20%), and SSOM (-1.97%).
